My name is Melody Lachance, everyone calls me Mel. This is an INDEPENDENTLY run branch of a group of dedicated fundraisers helping rescues. The funds raised by Barrhaven & Area Empties will be shared among various rescue organizations that we work with on behalf of our branch. Barrhaven & Area Empties was started in 2015 with the intention of helping animal rescues provide food, shelter and medical care to animals in need. These amazing organizations rely mainly on private donations and fundraisers. We all work together towards the same goal, providing a better life for animals and those that love them. |
Start donating your empties and more today! We accept any of the following:
- Empties; all things purchased at the Beer Store or LCBO (incl. growlers, wine bladders, bottles, cans and tetra packaging).
- Anything copper or brass (ie: brass fixtures and old pieces of piping).
- NO SCRAP METAL PLEASE.
- Certain e-waste items - cell phones, laptops, cables, electrical extension cords, strings of Christmas lights.
- Car batteries, NO HOUSEHOLD BATTERIES.
- Farm Boy refundable bottles.
- Canadian Tire money welcomed.
- Empty cat litter jugs and buckets and pet food supplies that will be donated, non-expired medical supplies, rescues can use especially antibiotics, etc.
*Please reach out to Freedom Drivers directly to make arrangements to drop off pet carriers / crates.
Barrhaven & Area Empties is all about starting drives to collect whatever items are refundable in your area and turning it into cash to help animals in need. We would love to work with your school or business to get you started.
